Susan L. Bennett, PhD, LPC,
Susan L. Bennet, PhD, LPC completed dual degree undergraduate work at Regis University in organization development and psychology. Dr. Bennett earned her master’s and doctoral degrees at the University of Denver in Counseling Psychology. She completed her externship, internship, and fellowship at Denver Health and is currently a clinical psychologist for Behavioral Health Services and the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders.
Dr. Bennett is a mental health generalist working with all psychiatric disorders with special interest in eating disorders. Her research includes health psychology, moderation and mediation of physical and psychological strain, impulse control, and collaborative treatment planning.
Dr. Bennett is a member of the American Psychological Association(APA) and the Health Psychology Division of APA, the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, and the Academy for Eating Disorders.
Psychiatric Consultation is provided by local eating disorder experts, Dr. Kenneth L.Weiner and Dr. Ovidio Bermudez. Patients receive psychiatric care multiple times weekly in addition to their daily psychotherapy with Dr. Bennett.
