The new home of Behavioral Health Services inpatient and outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry, Pavilion M, opened Tuesday, November 1, at 723 Delaware St., just west of Denver Health Medical Center.
The service treats children and adolescents suffering from behavioral and emotional disorders as well as addiction and substance abuse problems.
The 16-bed Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Unit is designed especially for children and adolescents, ages 8-17 years. The Child and Adolescent Outpatient Mental Health Team provide psychological and psychiatric services to children and adolescents ages 2 –17 years, and their families.
The Substance Abuse, Treatment, Education and Prevention (STEP) program provides comprehensive, outpatient treatment for youth with substance abuse disorders. Treatment includes individual cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy and psychiatric consultation, as needed.
