Outpatient Behavioral Health Services Opiate Replacement Program at Denver Health provides opioid/narcotic replacement therapy utilizing Methadone and Suboxone (buprenorphine) for patients meeting specific criteria for admission.

Patients in the Opioid Replacement Program receive a high level of professional support to remain free from opioids and other illicit drugs. Each patient's progress is closely monitored and he or she are asked to attend group or individual sessions to receive closer supervision.
Treatment at Denver Health for narcotic addiction includes:
Each patient has a primary care clinician who coordinates treatment planning with him or her. Additionally, the program physician monitors program compliance and conducts case management activities. Individual and group counseling is offered 5:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. weekdays. Denver Health accept many insurance carriers, including Medicaid, as well as private pay clients.
As patients progress through their treatment, they may attend less frequent counseling sessions and earn take-home doses of opiate replacement medication. Patients may be discharged after achieving abstinence and medically supervised detoxification from Methadone or Suboxone.
