Raffi Gurunluoglu, M.D, Ph.D.
Dr. Gurunluoglu completed his medical education and residency training at Marmara University Hospital, Istanbul, in 1997. He received his Ph.D. in the field of Anatomy in 2003.
Dr. Gurunluoglu completed his microsurgery fellowship in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 2001.
Dr. Raffi was a staff plastic surgeon in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Leopold-Franzens University, Innsbruck, Austria, in 2003, where he developed an interest became breast surgery (breast augmentation, reduction, mastopexy, body contouring surgeries (mastopexy, panniculectomy, thoracobrachoplasty) after gastric by-pass surgery in weight loss patients, and reconstructive microsurgery that includes lower leg reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, and breast reconstruction using free TRAM and DIEAP flaps. He became an Associate Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, in Turkey, 2004, the same year he was certified by the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. Dr. Gurunluoglu began his Denver Health career in 2006 as the Chief of Plastic Surgery. He was also appointed Associate Professor in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr.Gurunluoglu has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed significantly to the plastic surgery literature with his scientific works.
In 2011, Dr. Gurunluoglu received the Denver Health Medical Center Outstanding Clinican Award.
Jamie Arton, MHS, PA-C Jamie Arton completed her medical education at Duke University in North Carolina in 2012, receiving her Master of Health Sciences. Jamie was selected by faculty at the Duke University Physician Assistant Program to be the graduation speaker for her class. She was also inducted into Pi Alpha, the National Honor Society for Physician Assistants. Jamie was also the recipient of the University Scholars Scholarship from the William H. Gates Foundation in 2010. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2003.
