About the Smoke-Free Housing Forum
The Denver Smoke-Free Housing Forum is organized and facilitated by Denver Public Health in collaboration with Jefferson County Health Department. Established in 2009, the forum membership includes owners and managers of apartments, condominiums and multi-unit housing properties. Meetings provide an opportunity for folks to discuss and learn from their housing peers regarding how to pass, implement and enforce indoor smoke-free building policies. Health department staff sponsor and facilitate the forums, as well as provide information and technical assistance to forum participants.
Discussion topics may include:
- Benefits of smoke-free housing policies
- Landlord guides
- Enforcement plans
- Sample policies
- Trouble shooting and/or technical assistance
- Presentations from other landlords or property owners
- Networking and resource opportunities
- Other topics of interest on this issue
