The Denver Health Medical Center, Department of Surgery  is seeking a full time oral and maxillofacial surgeon, to join the faculty as an Assistant/Associate Professor. This is an academic position that emphasizes the broad spectrum of oral and maxillofacial surgery patient care in both the outpatient and in-patient settings. The Division of OMFS has an accredited four year resident training program, centered at Denver Health that is expanding to two residents per year. The service sees approximately 3500 patients per year including a large outpatient clinic and a conscious sedation and procedure clinic. Denver Health is a model integrated urban safety net health care system that serves as a Level I trauma center for the Rocky Mountain Region, is the busiest hospital in Colorado and has 8 primary care clinics, 15 school based clinics, correctional care facilities and an HMO. Denver Health has a formal affiliation for faculty and residents with the University of Colorado School of Medicine.


The candidate must be Board Certified/Eligible in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and preferably have an MD degree. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with previous academic/private practice experience, strong patient care and surgical skills and a strong committed interest in resident education.
