The Position: Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs)
The Division of Hospital Medicine at Denver Health is recruiting Physician Assistants (PAs) and Nurse Practitioners (NPs). Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners work closely under the supervision of our Hospitalist Physicians to deliver all aspects of high quality care to hospitalized patients on our general medical services. The Division currently consists of 42 Hospitalists and 8 non-physician providers (i.e., PAs and NPs).
Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners currently provide direct clinical care on inpatient non-teaching Medicine services, a Chest Pain Observation service and an Observation Unit. Our hospitalist group provides 24-hour coverage and thus shifts are a combination of primarily day shifts with some weekend and evening shifts.
Denver Health is a public safety net hospital that is affiliated with the University of Colorado Medical School, is an integral part of the residency training programs in all Departments at the University of Colorado, and is the hub of an integrated health care delivery system that cares for over 25% of the residents of Denver.
