The team leader/program director is a management position with primary responsibility for the program strategic development and implementation; oversight of operations; and evaluation of the Denver School-Based Health Center (DSBHC) program. In addition, this position will be responsible for networking with Denver Public Schools, partner agencies and divisions of Denver Health.

This role will serve as the leader of clinical operations coordinating efforts between the mental health supervisor, the SBHC administrator, lead health educator and assistant clinical program manager. Responsibilities will include clinical oversight of daily activities and clinical policies and procedures. The team leader will work closely with an assistant program manager to hire and manage all clinical staff as well as coordinate physician coverage for all SBHC locations. The team leader will be accountable for all clinical quality metrics, productivity targets, patient satisfaction and workforce engagement scores.

RequirementsPrimary Responsibilities
  • Board certification in Pediatrics or Family Medicine with current Colorado medical license.
  • A minimum of four years experience working in a clinical setting with children and adolescents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Prefer success in grant writing.
  • Knowledge of Denver Public Schools and ability to represent Community Health and DSBHCs to DPS, the community and foundations, and provide leadership for a diverse system of health care delivery.
