The Position: Urologist
The Department of Urology at Denver Health is seeking a BC/BE Urologist to join our well established hospital employed practice. The ideal candidate will be trained in trauma, reconstructive, minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery. This is an academic position that emphasizes patient care, residency/fellow training, and clinical research. The Denver Health Urology division is part of a fully integrated network of eight community health centers and a Level I 525-licensed bed hospital with a mission of providing access to quality health care for all citizens of Denver regardless of ability to pay. As Colorado’s primary safety net institution, DH has provided billions of dollars in uncompensated care.
The Denver Health Urology department includes in office procedures: (PNBX, TRUS, Cysto’s, Video Urodynamics, Vasectomies, etc) and surgeries: (ureteroscopies, cystoscopies, etc). The department currently has active research projects in renal ischemia-reperfusion injury, prostate & renal cancer, development of minimally invasive surgical techniques and has been awarded Boston Scientific Grants for the last three years to assist support a research fellow in Urology.
