    Rehaan Shaffie, M.D.
Dr. Rehaan Shaffie attended medical school at the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City, Kansas, and completed residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. He is currently a hospitalist at Denver Health and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He enjoys hiking, skiing, traveling and spending time with his yellow lab. He’s pictured here with a more interesting and talented person in the tulip fields of Southern Holland.
     
    Sarah Stella, M.D.
Dr. Sarah Stella, is a hospitalist at Denver Health and Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. She is passionate about improving care for patients in a safety-net hospital and advancing the social mission of medicine. She is a Fellow of the Society of Hospital Medicine and serves on the editorial board of The Hospitalist. When not at the hospital she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.
     
    Susan Calcaterra, M.D.
Dr. Susan Calcaterra practices as a hospitalist at Denver Health. She has an interest in addiction medicine and its application in treating hospitalized patients struggling with addiction. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and husband, running and practicing yoga.
     
    Marisha Burden, M.D.
Dr. Marisha Burden is the Chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine at Denver Health, a hospitalist at Denver Health and an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Burden earned her medical degree at the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, where she graduated with the honor of Alpha Omega Alpha. She completed her residency at the University of Colorado and joined Denver Health in 2006. Dr. Burden’s interests focus on hospital systems improvement which includes patient experience, patient flow, quality and transitions of care.
     
    Noelle Northocutt, M.D.
Dr. Noelle Northcutt is a Hospitalist at Denver Health. At the bedside she strives to demystify hospital care for her patients through effective doctor-patient communication. She is pursuing education in using point-of-care-ultrasound as a tool both for communication and clinical decision making. Outside of the hospital she enjoys Leave No Trace backpacking, mountain biking and laughing at stand-up comedy.
     
    Kimberly Indovina, M.D.
After completing residency in Minneapolis, Dr. Kimberly Indovina returned to Denver, where she has been a hospitalist at Denver Health since 2012. She also works on the inpatient Palliative Medicine consult team. Her academic interests include patient experience, communication, palliative care, fall prevention, and interprofessional education. Outside of the hospital, Kim enjoys photography, piano, swimming, crocheting, and travel.
     
    Hassan Rao, M.D.
Dr. Hassan Rao joined the Denver Health Hospital Medicine division in 2016. He attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City for his medical degree and completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Colorado. His academic interests include medical education and leveraging healthcare informatics to improve quality and safety. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, cooking and fantasy football.
