Investigator Development

The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) Investigator Development program has the overall goal of fostering the skills of emerging Denver Health investigators to conduct research using scientifically rigorous methods that meet the methodological standards and philosophy of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. The three specific goals of the PCOR training program are to:

  • Train investigators to be Denver Health leaders in patient-centered comparative effectiveness research through the PCOR Scholars Program;
  • Develop and submit ten funding proposals in PCOR through the PCOR Grant-Writing Intensive Program for Denver Health research faculty;
  • Establish a PCOR Visiting Professor Program to fund a methodological, policy or scientific expert to visit Denver Health each year to strengthen the institutional PCOR knowledge base.
