About ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders
The ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders Experience
Let ACUTE help you on the path to a successful recovery.
The ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders offers a unique program that is dedicated entirely to the treatment of patients who are too medically comprised to begin treatment at a traditional eating disorder facility.
Patients, their families and their physicians choose ACUTE because:
- ACUTE staff members are specially-trained and exceptionally experienced in caring for patients at this specific stage of eating disorder recovery
- Located on a dedicated medical unit at Denver Health Medical Center, ACUTE has unique access to the benefits of a major medical institution, including on-site sub-specialty referrals, intensive care unit services, surgical teams and more
- ACUTE's unique experience and high volume of the most severe patients in the country has led to excellent outcomes, short lengths of stay (average length of stay at ACUTE is 14-21 days), rare need for intensive care unit (ICU) transfer and zero mortality among a population of the most at-risk patients
