Medical Intensive Care Unit

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) is a 24-bed unit. We provide care to very sick patients. The unit is staffed by a team of doctors, nurses, therapists, chaplains and social workers. Our goal is to give excellent care to all our patients and their loved ones.

MICU Mission

  • Provide safe, expert care that respects the patient’s unique and changing needs.
  • Support the patient’s family and friends.
  • Care for patients and their families with compassion, teamwork, accountability and trust.
  • Advance the science of critical illness to improve the care for our patients.

Visiting Hours

The MICU has open visiting. Patient visits are welcome 24 hours, 7 days a week. At certain times we may request that you leave the room briefly; during the shift change at 7 am and 7 pm or while we are giving care.
