To evaluate the existing BioSense System from the public health science point of view to ensure it is useful both at the federal level and to state and local public health jurisdictions in supporting early event and situational awareness activities for bioterrorism and naturally occurring disease.

The Department of Medicine is dedicated to the Denver Health mission of providing high quality health care, education and research. The Department of Medicine is comprised of 13 divisions:

The inpatient Medicine service currently consists of a 24-bed Medical ICU/CCU, and 82 inpatient beds. With the exception of Hospital Medicine, each of the divisions also staffs one or more outpatient clinics each.

Denver Health Medical Center also serves as a training site for more than 150 residents and fellows each year on both the inpatient and outpatient services.
