DwyerAnthony.jpg Anthony P. Dwyer, M.D. Co-Director, Spine Trauma Service. Dr. Anthony Dwyer graduated from The Melbourne University Medical School. After study at the Royal College of Surgeons in London, he was awarded postgraduate qualifications in General Surgery by the Royal College of Surgeons of England and also of Edinburgh. He was awarded postgraduate surgical qualifications in Orthopaedic Surgery by the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. His spine surgery training continued with a Spine Fellowship with John E. Hall in Boston, MA, and continued with Sir George Bedbrook at the Spinal Cord Injury Unit in Perth, Western Australia. Professor of Orthopaedics and Director of Spinal Disorders, Department of Orthopaedics, University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine.

Philip F. Stahel, M.D. Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon. Fellowship trained at the Department of Trauma Surgery at University Hospital in Zurich, Switzerland. Previously, attending surgeon for the Department of Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery at the Charite University Medical Center in Berlin, Germany. Specialized in general and trauma surgery. Associate Professor of Orthopaedics at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine.

000358.jpg Kathryn M. Beauchamp, M.D. Co-Director, Spine Trauma Service. Dr. Kathryn Beauchamp is a board-certified neurosurgeon. University of Colorado for Undergraduate and Medical School. Residency in Neurological Surgery at the University of Colorado. She now practices at Denver Health Medical Center and the University of Colorado Health Science Center, where she has been primarily doing Neurotrauma and Spinal Surgery. Assistant Professor at the Univeristy of Colorado Denver School of Medicine

Gene E. Bolles, M.D. Dr. Bolles is a neurosurgeon with extensive experience working with the casualties of war. He is board certified in Neurological and Spine Surgery. Assistant Professor at the Univeristy of Colorado Denver School of Medicine

 

Vikas Patel, M.D. Dr. Patel received his MD at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed a residency at the University of California, San Francisco, Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and a spine surgery fellowship at The Spine Institute at St. John's Hospital in Santa Monica, California. Dr. Patel has extensive expertise in complex cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spinal disorder treatment including spinal fusion surgery, disc replacement surgery, motion sparing surgery, and minimally invasive surgery. His research interests lie in spinal motion preservation, bone healing/fusion, and spinal biomechanics. Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine.

Evalina Burger, M.D. Senior Orthopedic Spine Surgeon. Dr. Evalina Burger is a South-African trained Spine surgeon, specializing in Adult Deformity and Reconstruction. She was the first female Spine surgeon to be selected for the prestigious ABC fellowship in 2000. She relocated to New Orleans in 2001 and joined the University of Colorado in 2006. Dr. Burger has a vast experience in comprehensive Spine care including Pain management, Tumors and Infection and is well versed in traumatic conditions of the Spine. She embraces new technology and critically analyses evidence-based outcomes to ensure her patients receive optimal treatment. She was nominated for the prestigious Russell-Hibbs award for her research in metal properties. Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine.
