Denver Health’s Center for Complex Fractures and Limb Restoration is a tertiary referral source for orthopaedic trauma, complex musculoskeletal problems, non-unions and malunions and other complex problems of fracture healing. The center and all orthopaedic services are located in the recently opened new wing, the Western Addition of Denver Health Medical Center. Clinic and rehabilitation space is state-of-the-art, and all patient rooms are private, with Internet service.
The center has a strong reputation for excellence among patients, providers and payors. Its high level of expert clinical service is considered a model throughout the United States.
The physicians at Denver Health’s Center for Complex Fractures and Limb Restoration are highly specialized and available 24 hours a day to provide orthopaedic surgery coverage. Physician consults are also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Our physicians are all fellowship trained in complex fracture care, and are performing some of the most complex procedures in medicine today.
The center’s orthopaedists care for nearly 3,000 complex cases a year, using a team approach designed to manage the patient’s whole care process. As part of a research and training program, the center attracts top physicians from around the world.
Denver Health is a national leader in improving the survival and outcome in patients with serious trauma and orthopaedic injuries. Physicians in the Center for Complex Fractures and Limb Restoration are highly trained experts in orthopaedics and are an essential component of the academic Level I Rocky Mountain Regional Trauma Center. They are board-certified members of the University of Colorado School of Medicine faculty.
They are available to help physicians and their patients solve serious problems including severe pelvic fractures, healing problems, infection and osteomyelitis.

“The doctors, nurses and entire staff at Denver Health saved my life and I am eternally grateful. The car accident was very serious – I lost a good friend – but because of the care I received at Denver Health, I am here today to thank the doctors for all they have done for me.”
