Current internship opportunities at Denver Public Health:
- Denver Public Health is leading a multidisciplinary effort to prevent cancer and disease associated with the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in the greater Denver area. The work of this internship will involve creating a practice intervention toolkit to increase HPV vaccination rates in clinics including helping to develop a training of local public health nurses who will be implementing our toolkit.
- The Denver Prevention Training Center at Denver Public Health coordinates the National Evaluation Center for the National Network of Clinical Prevention Training Centers and is tasked by the CDC's Division of Sexually Transmitted Disease Prevention to assess the efficacy of national STD clinical training programs with measures including participant skills, confidence and knowledge matched to demographic information. This internship will involve data entry, data cleaning/screening, univariate and multivariate/multivariable analysis, education about survey methodology and applied statistical analysis and coordination of national evaluation projects.
