Unlike many other viral respiratory infections, like the common cold, the flu can cause severe and even life-threatening complications in many people. The Influenza Vaccine is the single most essential step people can take to protect themselves and others against infection.

Pertussis in Denver

The number of people diagnosed with pertussis (whooping cough) is up again in Denver and Colorado. In 2013, 159 people in Denver were diagnosed with Pertussis - more than three times as many as an average year! In 2012, there were 219 cases. This is a critical public health concern.
