All Elective Surgeries Temporarily Suspended Due to coronavirus

elective surgery suspended Denver Health

Denver Health is following a new executive order from Colorado Governor Jared Polis to temporarily suspend all elective and non-essential surgeries and procedures due to the spread and impact of the novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. The suspension is to preserve important medical equipment, including personal protective equipment and ventilators which are needed to combat COVID-19. We will continue to conduct surgeries for patients who have life-threatening conditions.

The governor's executive order begins on March 23 and runs through April 14.

Denver Health is currently evaluating the impact this will have on our patients who have previously scheduled surgeries. We will update with new information as soon as it is available.
