Dr. Monson has been practicing radiology at Denver Health and Children’s Hospital Colorado since 2011. His role at Denver Health is to provide high quality, state-of-the-art, pediatric imaging services. He has particular interest in radiation dose reduction and image optimization.
Dr. Monson is an assistant professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He is published in several peer reviewed journals and book chapters, and he has presented at national meetings on subjects related to pediatric radiology. He is a member of the American College of Radiology and the Society for Pediatric Radiology.
Dr. Monson received his undergraduate degree in biology from Colorado State University and he received his medical training at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. His residency training in diagnostic radiology was at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, and his fellowship training was completed at Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Monson is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology.
