From tooth removal to facial reconstruction, at Denver Health, the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS) team sees thousands of patients for consultation and treatment of issues related to the face, head and neck. From more common procedures, like wisdom teeth removal and tooth replacement, to very complex procedures, like facial reconstruction following a serious accident, you can expect the best at Denver Health. Because the face involves many functions, the OMFS team coordinates with experts in Ophthalmology, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, and others as needed to ensure the best outcome for each patient. We take great care to ensure your comfort and safety.


We can help with anything related to the face for adults and children. Some of the more common services we provide include:

  • Biopsy and/or removal of abnormal growths, including lumps, bumps, cysts or infections
  • Therapy or surgery to correct facial injuries or deformities, including broken nose, eye socket injury, forehead injuries, jaw injuries, other broken bones of the face, skin damage, animal bites to the face

Teeth and Gums

Denver Health OMFS surgeons will take care of everything you need for concerns with the teeth and gums. Outpatient procedures are done in our clinic and more complex cases are done in the hospital operating room.

Our surgeons treat many patients with disorders of the jaw. Often the problems can be treated with non-surgical therapy. We work with each patient to determine the best treatment for his/her individual needs.
