What to Expect

For the first part of your examination, one of our qualified ophthalmic technicians will perform preliminary testing requested by your doctor. For many appointments and all complete eye examinations, the technician will then dilate your eyes to help your doctor get the best view of all your ocular structures. You can expect temporary light sensitivity, enlarged pupils, and blurred near vision for several hours following. Your doctor will then review the testing performed by your technician, perform additional examination, and discuss the findings and treatment plan with you. Our friendly clerical staff will then give you your visit instructions and schedule any follow-ups indicated.

Please allow up to 2 hours for your appointment, including dilation and technician work-up.
