If you are uninsured and didn't enroll in health coverage under the Affordable Care Act, there are still options available
You can enroll in Medicaid at anytime during the year. The new expanded Medicaid covers more adults, including many patients with CICP. If you have limited income, you may be able to enroll in Medicaid.

Even if you don’t qualify for Medicaid and didn’t buy health insurance for 2014, you can still enroll in one of our discount programs or renew your enrollment for this year.

Enrollment Services

Denver Health understands that the process of acquiring help to pay for medical services can be a confusing process, which is why we guide our customers through a health care program screening process.

Our Enrollment Specialists will screen you for medical assistance programs like Medicaid and the Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) program. You will also be screened for discount programs available at Denver Health, such as the Colorado Indigent Care Program (CICP) and the Denver Health Financial Assistance Program (DFAP) – both programs are designed to help make certain medical services more affordable for the uninsured.

Our Enrollment Specialists are also trained to help people find and purchase private health insurance through Connect for Health Colorado. We will help you understand the options, calculate your monthly cost, and will help you estimate the credits that may be available to you.

If you do not qualify for any of the programs, Denver Health will still try to explore other payment options with you. In this case, you should contact our billing department customer service representatives.

Customers who are enrolled in a discount program (CICP and DFAP) must be screened every year by an Enrollment Specialist.
