In an effort to raise awareness for organ, eye and tissue donation, local governments work with Donor Alliance and residents touched by donation to celebrate the cause.
These efforts are in support of the nationwide observance, National Donate Life Month, which honors the generosity of organ, eye and tissue donors and their families and commemorates all transplant recipients in the United States throughout the month of April.
A nationwide voluntary recall on the medication Effexor XR® 150 mg has been issued, affecting lot numbers V130142 and V130140. The recall was issued as a result of a pharmacist finding Tikosyn®, a heart medication, in a bottle of Effexor XR.
Although we have not noticed any problems at Denver Health, we are informing our patients of the recall to keep you safe. Tikosyn is bright yellow. Effexor XR is red. If you have an Effexor XR prescription, please check the bottle and return to the pharmacy if you find any yellow capsules. You may contact the Denver Health Pharmacy 1-866-347-3345 for more information.
