Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R)

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Division at Denver Health aims to provide the highest quality of comprehensive rehabilitation care in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. We treat a wide spectrum of ailments with the goal of optimizing recovery and improving quality of life.

About Us

The PM&R department at Denver Health brings a unique perspective to our rehabilitation care as we treat diseases across the spectrum. We have a holistic approach to patient care and focus on return to function for a variety of diseases.

We treat illnesses and injuries related to areas of the spinal cord, brain, nerves, muscles, and bones. On the inpatient and hospital side, we assist with the care of patients with acute severe trauma resulting in conditions including traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputations, and nerve injuries. We also help with complex discharge planning and assessment of return to function for individuals with chronic neurologic and musculoskeletal conditions.

On the outpatient and clinic side, we assess and treat conditions ranging from osteoarthritis and musculoskeletal injuries, to chronic neurologic diseases such as brain injury and spinal cord injury. We also provide electrodiagnostic studies to help assess nerve and muscle injuries.

Our physicians have a wide variety of sub-specialty board certifications including electrodiagnostic medicine, pain medicine, spinal cord injury medicine and sports medicine. While we see a wide variety of illness presentation, we treat each patient as an individual and tailor their rehabilitation care plan to their unique needs.
