The Position: Adult Urgent Care Center Physician
Denver Health is recruiting for an intermittent Family or Internal Medicine Physician in the Adult Urgent Care Center (AUCC). This is a highly regarded and much sought after position at Denver Health. Two years’ experience post residency is preferred as well as, an emphasis in experience in an Urgent Care setting. This Board Certified physician will be in attendance at all times to review any and all patient care issues in the AUCC. The AUCC sees and evaluates approximately 38,000 patients annually, with a most interesting variety of chief complaints (abdominal pain, headache, general medical, early OB and gynecological issues). The Clinic hours are 7 am to 10 pm, Monday through Friday with 62 hours of provider coverage. Weekend hours are 8 am to 8 pm with 36 hours of provider coverage. The AUCC at Denver Health is co-located with the Emergency Department and has access to all resources available in the hospital (labs, imaging, specialists, admissions, etc).
The successful applicant will join a team of 12+ physicians and advanced practitioners, as well as, have an academic appointment with the University of Colorado School of Medicine and Health Sciences Center. Responsibilities will also include supervision of advanced practice providers and education of medical students/residents.
