Your Prenatal & Maternity Care Team

Denver Health Delivering OB/GYNs

The providers included in your care team will depend on the type of provider you would like to see, the clinic you choose and your medical needs. There are several types of prenatal care providers available to you at Denver Health:

The Denver Health Maternity and Pregnancy Care Team offers the following services:

  • One of the nation’s LOWEST rates of Cesarean sections and a HIGH rate of success with vaginal births after C-section (VBAC)
  • Personalized prenatal care visits where you can ask questions and discuss issues or concerns
  • Individualized care that is provided in a way that respects you, your family and your beliefs
  • Information about preventive health care, community resources, pregnancy, nutrition, birth, breastfeeding and newborn care
  • Information about tests and procedures that may occur during your pregnancy
  • Discussion of techniques for coping with discomfort during labor, such as position changes, walking, birthing balls and relaxation techniques
  • Education on childbirth pain medication options, including non-medical interventions such as water therapy and massage, as well as medical interventions such as an epidural
  • Conversations about Cesarean section (C-section) surgery for the delivery of your baby, if needed
  • Breastfeeding support and postpartum/childbirth recovery care

We encourage you to select a provider that best fits the type of pregnancy you desire and medically need. Once you have selected your prenatal clinic and provider, we encourage you to talk openly with him or her about your pregnancy and childbirth expectations. We accept nearly all forms of insurance, including Medicaid.
