Denver Health has named Sean VanBerschot as Denver Health Foundation’s new executive director, following six months of service in the interim role. VanBerschot has spent the past three years serving as the foundation’s associate executive director.
“Sean has shown exceptional leadership during a pivotal time for our foundation,” said Donna Lynne, Denver Health CEO. “He is a trusted voice as we elevate expectations for the foundation’s role within our health system and the community.
His recent appointment as executive director follows the remarkable success of the 2025 Thriving Denver Gala, where over $1.5 million was raised.
As executive director, VanBerschot will lead the foundation through innovative strategies and deeper community engagement as Denver Health Foundation prepares for a milestone year in 2025. Key priorities include expanding donor engagement for the Westside Redevelopment Project and enhancing legacy giving.
Denver Health also anticipates continued growth in community partnerships and philanthropic impact under his leadership. This includes leading the foundation in completing the multi-year $80M Springboard for Solutions Campaign in the coming year.
