Holiday Santa Express Stops at Denver Health

Santa visits Denver Health
Thousands of Denver Health pediatric patients will have a happy holiday season thanks to an early visit from Santa!

On Saturday, the jolly guy visited with sick kids at the Denver Health Pediatric Urgent Care Center and our young primary care patients at Denver Health's nine Family Health Centers. Hundreds of families lined up to take pictures with Santa, play fun holiday games and enter a raffle for prizes. Instead of a sleigh, old St. Nick traveled to each family health center in a parade, led by a Denver Health Paramedics ambulance, Denver Fire trucks and Denver Police cars.

More than 15,000 gifts were delivered to happy children and their families, including books, toys and clothing. All of the presents were provided by the Denver Health Foundation, through its generous donors.

Denver Police donated teddy bears to give away to families and the Denver Fire Department handed out firefighter hats to the kids.

More than 200 volunteers from Denver Health, the Denver Health Foundation, Denver Health Paramedics, Denver Police and Denver Firefighters staffed the parade and helped out at each clinic.
