Downtown Urgent Care Denver Health patient review video
Bill Harris, Jr. lives in Downtown Denver. One morning in late November of 2019, Harris woke up with an ear ache. His health insurance offers several urgent care locations around Denver, but Harris said none of them were convenient to people living in the Downtown area.

"There was only one choice that would fit the bill," Harris said. "That choice was the new Denver Health Downtown Urgent Care at 1545 California Street in the heart of Downtown Denver."

Harris said he walked just a few blocks to get his care with Denver Health. The Downtown Urgent Care accepts most commercial insurances, Medicare and Medicaid. It also has simple, upfront, cash-pay options.

"I was pleasantly surprised upon entry to exit," Harris said of his first visit there. He noted that the clinic was brand new and spotless and that he didn't have to wait to be seen.

"The admissions process was seamless and speedy – I was having my vitals taken within five minutes and seeing the doctor within ten minutes. I was in and out in less than an hour," said Harris.

Denver Health Downtown Urgent Care physician Kevin Beato, MD saw Harris during that visit and gave him a clear diagnosis of an ear infection and instructions on how to treat it and follow up with his primary care physician if his symptoms got any worse.

"I was completely satisfied with the facility and the care I received. The Denver Health Downtown Urgent Care is a desperately needed addition to the downtown landscape," Harris said.

The Denver Health Downtown Urgent Care is open seven days a week and is located within walking distance from the Colorado Convention Center, 16th Street Mall, Auraria Campus, the Pepsi Center and many popular downtown hotels. Our team treats sick or injured residents and travelers who cannot wait for a primary care appointment, offering same-day walk-in medical evaluation and care, including X-rays, EKGs, bedside ultrasonography and some onsite laboratory testing.

If your condition is serious or life-threatening, call 911 immediately.
