Cardiovascular Services Manager Presents Lean Concepts at National Summit

On September 28, 2016; Joshua King, Manager of Cardiovascular Services at Denver Health, had the privilege to be a guest speaker at the 2016 Vizient Clinical Connections Summit. Vizient, Inc., (formerly VHA-UHC) is the largest member-owned health care company in the country, and their diverse membership and customer base includes academic medical centers, pediatric facilities, community hospitals, integrated health delivery networks and non-acute health care providers. Josh’s presentation; “Process Improvement Utilizing Lean Concepts” was a great topic for discussion and valuable opportunity to share Lean knowledge and experiences with an abundant audience including clinical and administrative leaders. Josh’s presentation provided a brief background on Lean, invaluable Lean tools used in his department, and finally real healthcare examples of how Josh uses Lean at Denver Health to execute change and improve processes.
