Denver Health MyChart users can now have a virtual urgent care visit with one of our expert providers. It’s easy and convenient to get the urgent care you need from the comfort of your home, using your smartphone, tablet or computer.

See a pediatric urgent care provider at a time and place that is convenient for you with Denver Health's Pediatric Virtual Urgent Care. During your child’s virtual urgent care experience, you will meet with your provider, have your condition assessed, and be provided a treatment plan, all via video. Current Denver Health patients will also receive an after-visit summary in their MyChart account.

Your insurance provider will be billed for the visit.

Yes, our telehealth and virtual services are offered in multiple languages. Please specify your preferred language in the link.

If you don't have insurance or if your insurance doesn't cover Pediatric Virtual Urgent Care, you will be invited to follow up with our enrollment services team. Enrollment services will discuss options with you which may include enrollment in Medicaid, Medicare or the Denver Health Financial Assistance Program (DFAP). A bill will be sent to you or your insurance company. The amount of financial assistance to which you are entitled, will be based on your income and other factors. There is no additional cost for video visits. Your copays, coinsurance and deductibles are the same as an in-person visit.

Please cancel your pediatric virtual urgent care or telehealth visit as soon as you can.

  • We cannot evaluate an asthma attack, prolonged ear pain or fever in young babies because we cannot listen to your child’s lungs, see inside their ears, or examine your baby during a virtual visit.
  • We can order a urine test to evaluate for a urine infection, but this will require you to provide a urine sample to any Denver Health lab.
  • We can order a strep throat and/or COVID test, but this will require you to come to the Pediatric Urgent Care at the main hospital for us to collect the specimen to send to the lab.

Muay Thai Maven Back in Gym After ACL Injury

June 03, 2025

"Muay Thai gives me a sense of purpose, and it helps me feel strong, not only as a woman, but as a single mother."

Sami Campbell is deeply devoted to the martial art of Muay Thai. If she's not working or taking care of her son, you'll find her in the gym, practicing her moves or teaching others how to protect themselves in case of a dangerous situation. Muay Thai is more than a hobby to her; it's her life's passion, and she spends nearly every weekend working to become better at it.

Volunteer John Stahl honored as 'Heart of Denver Health'

John Stahl's heart brought him to Denver Health, and it's at Denver Health his heart will stay.

The longtime volunteer and stalwart of the hospital received the inaugural John Stahl Heart of Denver Health Award at last week’s volunteer appreciation luncheon in Pavilion C. Volunteer Services Coordinator Grace Ray and her predecessor, Liz Matthews, created the namesake award after Stahl’s recent hospitalization brought the two together. The award will be given out annually to a volunteer who embodies Stahl’s warmth, dedication and compassion.

Sue Gomez: A beacon of compassion at Denver Health

For 15 years, Sue Gomez, a 78-year-old spiritual care volunteer, has been a steadfast presence at Denver Health, braving rain and snow to offer solace and support to patients in need. A former nurse and current Catholic Eucharistic minister, Gomez felt a profound calling to uplift those suffering by delivering communion to Catholic patients and offering prayers to anyone seeking comfort.

Jazmine Hernandez named Junior Volunteer of the Year

As a Hispanic Honor Society student, Jazmine Hernandez wanted to find a volunteer opportunity that allowed her to use her bilingual skills as she explored her interest in the medical field. After joining Denver Health as a volunteer pathfinder, Hernandez called upon her early “training” – babysitting and entertaining her younger brothers – to volunteer in the inpatient pediatrics unit.

Volunteers Don Rigot and Olcott Pinkston form stout friendship

Like most Denver Health volunteers, Don Rigot and Olcott Pinkston started their service as “pathfinders,” helping patients and visitors navigate our busy campus. Unlike most volunteers, they always work as a pair.

You can find Rigot, 70, and Pinkston, 71, helping new patients, and greeting the regular visitors by name, every Wednesday afternoon in the Outpatient Medical Center.

“The goal,” Rigot said, “is to have as many patient interactions as possible and to help as many people as possible. … You meet all kinds of interesting people from all walks of life.”

Volunteer Eric, therapy dog Remy bring joy to staff, patients

Over the past nine years, Eric Hoff and his dog Remy have achieved celebrity status at Denver Health. From hand decorated patient signs requesting visits in the Acute Center for Eating Disorders to the homemade dog-friendly birthday cakes made by the staff in the MICU, it is clear everyone knows and loves Remy.

After nearly 800 shifts, this pet therapy team has brought comfort and joy to thousands of patients and staff members. For his service and dedication, Remy was recently awarded the highest designation by the American Kennel Club, Pet Therapy Dog Supreme.
