Golf Injuries

Golfing has seen a renewed popularity across many age groups, including younger players and women, driven by social media, accessible public courses and golf entertainment venues. Golf may seem like a low-impact sport, but it can place significant stress on the body. At the Denver Health Orthopedic Center of Excellence, we specialize in treating and preventing golf-related injuries so you can get back on the course and back in the swing of things, with more motion and no pain.

Common Golf Injuries Treated at Denver Health

  • Golfer's elbow
Golfer's elbow is a common overuse injury, often resulting from a poor swing, repetitive motion or not warming up properly. We use targeted therapies to reduce pain and restore grip strength.
  • Rotator cuff strain
Repetitive overhead motion and improper swing mechanics can strain the shoulder joint. We offer both non-surgical and surgical treatments.

Comprehensive Care for Golf Injuries

Whether you are a weekend warrior or a professional player, our goal is to help you:

  • Reduce pain
  • Improve range of motion/mobility
  • Restore your proper swing mechanics
  • Prevent future injuries
  • Boost confidence in your game

We can incorporate physical therapy, minimally invasive surgical procedures and/or injection therapies depending on your diagnosis and recovery goals.

Rehabilitation for Golf Injuries

Beyond pain relief, we want to see your performance improve after your injury. We focus your rehabilitation on:

  • Core stability and spinal alignment
  • Shoulder and elbow mobility
  • Proper hip rotation and posture
  • Swing balance and flexibility
