The Center for Health Systems Research is located within the Office of Research at Denver Health. Its primary mission is to conduct and support research that fits within the framework of a Learning Health System. This includes patient-centered outcomes research, health services research, implementation and delivery system science and other research that enhances operational excellence and service at Denver Health.
Collaboration is central to CHSR's work. CHSR maintains strong partnerships with local and national health care systems, funders and academic medical centers.
CHSR core personnel include scientists, biostatisticians and data analysts, researchers, project managers and research assistants. Research projects involving CHSR personnel are supported primarily through grant and contract awards received from government agencies and private foundations. Funding sources include the National Institutes of Health, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade.
