Adult and Child Center for Health Outcomes Research and Delivery Science Program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine

Denver Health's relationship with the Adult and Child Center for Health Outcomes Research and Delivery Science (ACCORDS) program offers crucial long-term access to an academic environment in which clinician-researchers and scientists can continue to develop. ACCORDS researchers gain access to collaborations with Denver Health that allows expansion of their health systems research into disadvantaged populations.

Kaiser Permanente of Colorado Institute for Health Research

The relationship with Kaiser Permanente of Colorado Institute for Health Research (KPCO-IHR) offers a model of how an applied research organization can develop as part of an integrated clinical system and offers opportunities to Denver Health to be part of national research networks that KPCO-IHR participates in. KPCO-IHR researchers gain access to a patient population offering opportunities to demonstrate intervention validity outside a managed care population.

All of these factors create prospects for collaborative learning and research well into the future. Our partnership with KPCO-IHR and COHO combines safety net, managed care and academic research organizations with a degree of integration and collaboration we believe is not currently in existence.
