Psychology Externship Training Program
Denver Health offers psychology externship training opportunities for doctoral students seeking advanced clinical training within an integrated safety-net health care system. Externship placements provide supervised experiences that support the development of clinical skills while serving diverse and historically underserved patient populations across the Denver metropolitan area.
Externship opportunities vary from year to year based on departmental needs and supervisor availability. Training placements may be available in Adult Inpatient Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Inpatient Psychiatry, Integrated Behavioral Health, Neuropsychology, and other specialty areas throughout Denver Health.
Externs are embedded within specific clinical departments and work closely with licensed psychologists and other interdisciplinary professionals as appropriate to the setting.
