About IMAP
The IMAP Care Unit is a highly specialized inpatient unit providing comprehensive, integrated care for patients with serious co-occurring mental and physical health conditions that require hospitalization.
IMAP’s inpatient 12-bed unit is designed to treat adult patients ages 18 years and older with active medical and active psychiatric conditions that require inpatient stabilization.
The IMAP provides timely, comprehensive care for medically and psychiatrically complex patients, including intensive psychotherapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy and more. This unique unit is made possible through a collaborative team of medical and psychiatric providers, including internal medicine physicians, adult psychiatrists, nurses with med-surg and psychiatric experience and more.

- Mon – Fri: 12 – 1:30 p.m. and 5 – 6:45 p.m.
- Sat – Sun: 12 – 3 p.m. and 5 – 6:45 p.m.

Providers can refer patients to the IMAP Care Unit by contacting the Denver Health Transfer Center at 855-602-5280 or filling out this patient referral form.
Please review the inclusion and exclusion criteria for IMAP carefully before referring patients, as the unit is intended only for patients with serious co-occurring mental and physical health conditions that require hospitalization at the same time.
Please Note: IMAP is an inpatient unit that does not accept walk-ins and only admits patients after carefully reviewing provider-initiatied referrals against inclusion and exclusion criteria.
