Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit
The inpatient psychiatric unit at Denver Health is a 42-bed facility dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care in a safe and healing environment. We serve adults ages 18 and older who are experiencing acute psychiatric challenges and may struggle to meet their basic living needs due to the complex interplay of mental, physical, or substance use disorders. Our multidisciplinary team is committed to helping each individual stabilize, regain independence, and build the foundation for long-term wellness and recovery.
Our admissions process works to eliminate the stresses in which prospective patients and their families have the information, guidance, and support that they need. Starting this process is as simple as attending our Adult Emergency Department.
Upon admission, our multidisciplinary team conducts a thorough evaluation to understand each patient's health history, current symptoms, and strengths. Patients are actively encouraged to participate in developing their treatment plans and creating strategies to improve their mental health. Hospitalization is typically short-term, and we strongly encourage ongoing follow-up care in the community to support long-term health and recovery.
Integrated Medical and Psychiatric Care Unit (IMAP)
The IMAP Care Unit is a highly specialized inpatient unit providing comprehensive, integrated care for patients with serious co-occurring mental and physical health conditions that require hospitalization.
IMAP's inpatient 12-bed unit is designed to treat adult patients ages 18 years and older with active medical and active psychiatric conditions that require inpatient stabilization.
