Community Outreach

We love our community! Part of our mission at Denver Health Breast Imaging is going out to educate people on the importance of taking care of their health, including through regular screening mammograms. We take pride in attending events where we can meet people, talk about what we do and how we can help make our community healthier. The goal is to make learning about your health fun, and we often have prize giveaways for answering trivia questions about mammograms!

If you would like us to come to your event, please email, with the subject line “Mammography Outreach.”

2024 Center for African American Health Collaborative Health Expo

On March 30, 2024, Denver Health joined the Center for African American Health for its 23rd annual Collaborative Health Expo. Our breast imaging and mobile health center teams helped sign up attendees for mammogram and breast imaging services, while our volunteer team from Black Excellence in Navigating Growth (BEING), Denver Health's Black/African American employee resource group, educated guests about the services and locations offered by Denver Health. Visitors to our table could spin to win Denver Health swag!

Komen More than Pink Walk 2023

‌Denver Health’s Breast Imaging, Mobile Health Center and Breast Surgery teams joined forces to educate the approximately 6,000 people in attendance at the Susan G. Komen More than Pink Walk, a fundraiser to end breast cancer. We educated about the importance of regular mammograms and early cancer detection while signing up new patients for screenings. Denver Health was proud to sponsor the walk, raising more than $1,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, to help fund research into the causes and treatment of breast cancer.
