Randy Miles

Randy C. Miles, M.D., MPH

Chief of Breast Imaging

Dr. Randy Miles serves as the Chief of Breast Imaging at Denver Health, with oversight of the breast division’s clinical, research and educational programs. He also serves as the Associate Director for Research in the Radiology Department.

Dr. Miles earned his medical degree from the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine, where he was awarded the Miller Award for Humanitarianism related to his work leading medical mission trips to Haiti and the Dominican Republic. He also completed his Master of Public Health degree from Harvard School of Public Health during medical school, where he was selected as a Zuckerman Fellow. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency training at the University of Illinois-Chicago, where he served as chief resident, and completed his breast imaging fellowship training at the University of Washington Medical Center/Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.

Dr. Miles was recruited to Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Harvard Medical School following his fellowship training, where he served a variety of leadership roles including education director and clinical service chief of breast imaging. As clinical service chief, he oversaw the division’s same day care program, led implementation of contrast enhanced mammography, and initiated numerous health equity initiatives.

Dr. Miles has been the recipient of numerous research grants including the AUR GERRAF fellowship, RSNA Research & Education Foundation Education Development Imaging Cancer Grant, MGH Cancer Center and the Center for Innovation in Early Cancer Detection Award, Harvard Catalyst Faculty Fellowship and The Eleanor and Miles Shore 50th Anniversary Fellowship Program (HMS) Award. Over his four years at MGH, Dr. Miles published extensively in literature and given numerous talks nationally and internationally on his work in artificial intelligence, health literacy and breast cancer access and innovation.

Dr. Miles’ educational efforts have involved trainees at all levels of experience including medical students, residents, fellows, medical technologists, physician extenders and attending physicians. He was awarded Teacher of the Year Award by residents during his time at MGH. He has also worked in Shanghai, China as a consultant providing expertise on how to improve operational efficiency and patient experience in a breast imaging practice.

At Denver Health, Dr. Miles’ clinical, research and public health efforts will center around using innovation to:

  • Identify barriers to breast cancer screening
  • Create patient-centered initiatives to improve access to breast imaging services
  • Examine how to improve delivery of high quality, guideline-concordant breast care for all patients

Dr. Miles holds the title of Associate Professor at Denver Health’s academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

 

Christopher Doyle

Christopher Doyle, M.D.

Dr. Christopher Doyle is a diagnostic radiologist with an expertise in breast imaging. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, where he was admitted to the Arnold Gold Humanism Honors Society. He then completed his residency at the University of Chicago Hospitals after an internship in internal medicine at the Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio where Dr. Doyle was presented the Larry Otto Family Centered Care Award. Dr. Doyle completed fellowship in breast imaging at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian. Dr. Doyle holds the title of assistant professor at Denver Health’s academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine. He focuses on the education of residents and fellows in the area of breast cancer screening, diagnostic mammography and breast intervention.

He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and belongs to the Radiological Society of North America , Society of Breast Imaging and American College of Radiology.

 

Nhat-Tuan Tran

Nhat-Tuan Tran, M.D.

Dr. Nhat-Tuan Tran is a Diagnostic Radiologist with an expertise in the area of Breast Imaging. His particular areas of clinical focus include health disparities research and community outreach.

Dr. Tran graduated from the University of Colorado Denver in Accounting and Biology. Dr. Tran earned his medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine where he received the Adler Scholarship. Dr. Tran’s residency was completed at the University of Colorado after an internship in surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Denver. Dr. Tran completed his Fellowship in Breast Imaging at the University of Colorado.

Dr. Tran holds the title of Assistant Professor at Denver Health’s academic affiliate, the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Dr. Tran particularly focuses on the education of residents and fellows in the area of health disparities, community outreach and breast imaging.
