Choose Denver Health for Vein & Artery Care

Woman GardeningUntreated or poorly treated vein and artery conditions can have long-term, serious complications, including chronic or ongoing pain, inpatient hospital stays, amputation, and possibly stroke, heart attack or even death. If your primary care provider (PCP) has not been able to bring you symptom relief or you are looking for another opinion, you may want to see a team of experts that offer advanced treatment options. At Denver Health, the Integrated Vascular Center distinguishes itself from other centers by offering:

One Dedicated Location for Care

At one center — conveniently located in downtown Denver — we bring together the medical experts needed to diagnose and treat blood flow problems within the body’s veins and arteries. Our team includes a vascular surgeon, interventional cardiologists, interventional radiologists, podiatrists, a registered vascular technologist and nurse practitioners. In one appointment, you will meet with our vascular technologist for non-invasive testing and then speak with a vascular surgeon, cardiologist, podiatrist or an interventional radiologist to discuss results and plan for treatment. The Integrated Vascular Center is focused solely on treating conditions affecting the veins and arteries of the body.

On-Site Vascular Laboratory

The Integrated Vascular Center has its own vascular laboratory. Here, our Registered Vascular Technologist or RVT uses non-invasive testing such as ultrasound, Doppler technology and/or ankle-brachial index (ABI) to help visualize blood flow and read blood pressures. After testing, results are communicated to the rest of the team so that treatment planning can begin. Treatment — in most cases offered on an outpatient basis — is then performed at a follow-up appointment at the same location.

No Referral Required Appointments

At Denver Health, visiting the Integrated Vascular Center is simple. You can make an appointment with our clinic directly — a referral from your PCP is not required for many of the conditions we treat — taking away the need for an extra visit to your regular doctor specifically for a referral. If your insurance does require a referral, our team will work with you to obtain one from a Denver Health primary care provider.

Couple at HomeComprehensive Network of Specialists

Denver Health — nationally ranked and locally trusted — offers access to medical specialists in all disciplines. Your physician at the Integrated Vascular Center may decide that you need to visit a colleague in the Denver Health network as part of your treatment plan. If necessary, you will be referred to a specialist located on our campus and you can trust that you are in experienced hands.

If you would like to speak with our team about any of the venous or arterial conditions we treat, please contact us to set up an appointment.
