Refer an External Patient for Imaging (External Providers)

Denver Health’s Department of Radiology offers a broad range of imaging services for referring physicians to aide in the screening, diagnosis, and treatment of acute/chronic diseases as well as emergent injuries.

There are two available options for external orders:

  1. External ordering clinician can use EpicCare Link to place order. This avenue also ensures that results are easily accessible after scan(s) are complete. This is the preferred method. (Request an EpicCare Link
     
  2. We can accept a faxed imaging order and manually process it with support from Epic & Medical Staff Office (MSO) teams. If ordering clinician is not vetted by our Epic security and MSO, we work with them to get profile created so order can be placed. It usually takes three business days from time of receiving faxed order to when we call patient to get them scheduled.
