What is the difference between urgent care and emergency care?
- Urgent care treats illnesses and injuries that require medical attention, usually after hours or at night, when your regular doctor may not be available. Learn about some of the common urgent care illnesses and injuries we treat.
- Emergency care treats more life-threatening injuries such as head injuries, serious broken bones, and injuries and illnesses that usually need treatment right away. Learn about some of the common emergency illnesses and injuries we treat.

- Rocky Mountain Center for Medical Response to Terrorism, Mass Casualties and Epidemics (RMCMR): Following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, Denver Health created the RMCMR to establish more effective medical response to all disasters.
