Denver Health Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) staff hosted a reunion party Saturday for families who spent time in Denver Health’s NICU. Caregivers and children of all ages joined in the fun and laughter to reunite with the care teams who helped newborns grow strong and supported families along the journey. 

“All of the nurses who saved my son’s life, they deserve to see him,” said Evelyn Usher, whose son, Daecion, was born at 28 weeks and spent two months in the NICU. “They’re a big part of his life, and I just wanted to come here and celebrate them.”

COVID-19 vaccines by Moderna and flu shots are now available at Denver Health. You can schedule a flu or COVID shot by selecting “Schedule an Appointment,” then clicking “Immunizations” in your MyChart.

Denver Health's Breast Care Center is delighted to welcome back Rebekah Anders, MD, a diagnostic radiologist in Breast Imaging. Dr. Anders brings a wealth of expertise and passion to her new role, with great benefit to our patients. This isn't her first time working at Denver Health.

On Monday, Denver Health hosted a special program at Belonging Park in an effort to spread the message about suicide awareness. September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month – a time to raise awareness about suicide and suicidal ideation, remember the lives lost to suicide and acknowledge the individuals, families and communities that have been impacted.

In recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day, Denver Health is addressing our community’s overdose crisis by raising awareness and offering new services for those seeking help. Speakers from Denver Health’s Center for Addiction Medicine (CAM) and people with lived experience addressed the community and held a moment of silence on Denver Health’s main campus to bring awareness to preventable overdoses and honor the lives lost to overdose in 2023.
