Denver Health Honored for Exceptional Diabetes Care

June 04, 2025

The American Diabetes Association® (ADA) and The Leapfrog Group named 36 hospitals across 12 states as 2025 Recognized Leaders in Caring for People Living with Diabetes. Of the hospitals, Denver Health is the only health provider in Colorado to be recognized for its exceptional inpatient diabetes care.

The award recognizes each hospital’s strong commitment to the safety and well-being of hospitalized people living with diabetes, estimated to be 30 percent of all inpatients nationwide.

See a pediatric urgent care provider at a time and place that is convenient for you with Denver Health's Pediatric Virtual Urgent Care. During your child’s virtual urgent care experience, you will meet with your provider, have your condition assessed, and be provided a treatment plan, all via video. Current Denver Health patients will also receive an after-visit summary in their MyChart account.

Your insurance provider will be billed for the visit.

Yes, our telehealth and virtual services are offered in multiple languages. Please specify your preferred language in the link.

If you don't have insurance or if your insurance doesn't cover Pediatric Virtual Urgent Care, you will be invited to follow up with our enrollment services team. A bill will be sent to you or your insurance company. The amount of financial assistance to which you are entitled, will be based on your income and other factors. There is no additional cost for video visits. Your copays, coinsurance and deductibles are the same as an in-person visit.

  • We can order a strep throat and/or COVID test, but this will require you to come to the Pediatric Urgent Care at the main hospital for us to collect the specimen to send to the lab.
