Every year Denver Health recommends that our patients get a vaccine to protect against the flu (influenza) during the fall and winter seasons. But this year, it is especially important because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) predicts that both the influenza virus and COVID-19 will be spreading at the same time, creating the potential for extra strain of healthcare resources that may already be stretched thin.
Denver Health Helping Denver Teachers With PPE Donation

In the spirit of togetherness and building community during this COVID-19 pandemic, Denver Health is making an important donation to help another group of essential workers – Denver Public Schools (DPS) teachers and staff. Last week, Denver Health dropped off 25,000 pieces of donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to DPS, so it can be distributed to school teachers and staff just in time for those returning to schools for in-person learning.
Racism Is A Public Health Crisis

The move, led by the Healthcare Anchor Network comes after several months of social unrest, amidst a global pandemic where we are seeing communities of color experience disproportionate impacts of violence and mortality because of COVID-19.
