Specialty Care Referrals

How can I get Specialty Care?
If you have a new health concern, the best place to start is with your Primary Care Physician (PCP), or your personal doctor. Primary Care Physicians (PCP) are trained to care for a wide range of health issues and can help you determine if you should see a specialist for evaluation or treatment.

Do I need a referral to see a Specialist?
At Denver Health, you can see many specialists without a referral from your PCP, however the majority of our specialties do require a referral. For those that require a referral, your provider can fill out a Referral Form to send you to a specialist at Denver Health.
