Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) is a low-cost health plan for children from birth through age 18. Children who are approved for CHP+ must enroll in a health plan and must not have any other insurance. Filling a Prescription
Your provider will send the prescription to one of our Denver Health Outpatient Pharmacies. Our staff will begin the process of enrolling you in our specialty patient management program service that includes education about how and when to take your medication, how to manage potential side effects and ongoing clinical evaluation and support.
Our team works with your insurance company to help get your specialty prescription covered. You may have to pay a copay each time a medicine is filled. We will tell you the exact amount you need to pay. The copay amount for a specialty pharmacy medication may still be high, despite having your insurance company pay for most of the cost. I lost all hope of ever transitioning into a man at a young age because I’m from the South. I come from Locust Fork, Alabama, and I was the first in-your-face-deal-with-it, hate-me-or-love-me-I-don’t-care lesbian there ever was. And they all had no idea how to handle it.
Jessica Saldivar was born blind. The mother of two has been coming to Denver health for her own primary care since 2006. She had her two young boys at Denver Health where she got to "see" her children being born, using her acute sense of touch.
"With only four senses, I really wanted to experience childbirth as any mother would," Saldivar said.
